Building ecological sustainability on American soil.

“1t.org offers innovative technologies which will serve to connect tens of thousands of small and large groups around the world that are engaged in tree planting and forest restoration."

– Jane Goodall, Naturalist

The Challenge

1 Trillion Trees is part of a worldwide effort by governments, corporations, NGOs and activists to plant 1 trillion trees by 2030. The U.S. chapter website, led by the conservation nonprofit, American Forests, needed to align its look, feel and content with that of the global site, which is managed by the World Economic Forum.

The World Economic Forum has launched a global initiative to grow, restore and conserve 1 trillion trees around the world - in a bid to restore biodiversity and help fight climate change.

The 1t.org project aims to unite governments, non-governmental organisations, businesses and individuals in a "mass-scale nature restoration".

The Solution

We had just a few short months to design, write and develop the site from scratch. We also needed to develop a pledge system for corporations like American Express and Clif Bar, as well as NGOs, to commit to planting trees around the globe. Within just three months, we launched the US chapter website and a fundraising system for American Forests and its partners to lead a global reforestation campaign.
